Initially our refrigerators and the air conditioners were taken to the border town for the maintenance which incurred huge expenditure and it takes lot of time. But now these items will not be taken to the border areas because the training of trainer on refrigeration and the Air-conditioning Services started in Technical Training Institute from Monday in the capital.

The program was in line with the 11th Five Year Plan of Ministry of Labour and Human Resources ( MoLHR) initiative to introduce green skills in TVET institution and NEC for HCFC Phase-out Management Plans (HPMP) in most of the countries in Asia Pacific region, which has been approved by the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund for countries to achieve the 2013 and 2015 control measures at least under the Montreal Protocol.

Director, Department of Human Resources under the MoLHR, who graced the opening session of the programs said, previously and even today one of the main prevailing problems in the skill areas is in the Refrigeration and the Air-conditioning ( RAC). That’s way, today as you all are trained, you are going to act as a butter flying affect to transmit and to share this theoretical and the practical parts to the rest of the genera- tion who are in the TTI and who are looking for job in the labour market.

He added that henceforth, this training will solve our problems where people don’t have to take down to the border areas for the maintenance purposes.

International Trainer in HVAC and the Lead Consultant Dr. Anshu Kumar said, the engineers who are producing in India stands nowhere equal to the vocational system of Germany, because engineer’s spends for four years and their vocational system spending for two years. But their two years training is much more powerful than the four years course. Their vocational technicians are so qualified in their hand, which our engineers cannot compete with them. He also reminded to those training of trainers that it is very important to learn with full concentration and with interest.

According to the press release, the main objective of the training was to exchange idea on the delivery of the training program with the international expert and among the instructors who have already undergone several training organized by NEC as well as to build the capacity of hand on skills of the instructors.

Meanwhile, a total of thirteen instructors from Technical Training Institutes (TTIs) are participating and the two week ToTRAC servicing program was to build the capacity of the instructors of from TTIs under DHR, MoLHR in the field of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning and the trainees will be awarded certificates as trainer of RAC. And those identified TTIs will be soon implementing two year certificate course of Refrigeration and the Airconditioning (RAC).

Moreover, the workshop for the instructors covers around ten grounds. For instance: carry out maintenance of tools and equipments, apply fundamental of RAC, Refrigerants, standards and labeling, Service domestic refrigeration system, Install and service window and split type air conditioning (AC), Install and service mobile air conditioning (MAC), Install and service small commercial refrigeration appliances, Install and service large commercial refrigeration plants, Install and service central ac plant and the install and service package type air conditioning unit (PACU).
