Min­is­ter of Al- Di­wan Al – Amiri of the State of Kuwait in Bhutan

The Min­is­ter of AlDi­wan Al-Amiri of the State of Kuwait, Mr. Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber AlSabah, is on a visit to Bhutan ar­rived in the king­dom last Thurs­day at the in­vi­ta­tion of the Royal Govern­ment of Bhutan.

The min­is­ter was re­ceived at Paro In­ter­na­tional Air­port by HRH Dasho Ji­gyel Ugyen Wangchuck and the se­nior govern­ment officials.

Dur­ing his stay in the coun­try the min­is­ter re­ceived an au­di­ence by His Majesty the King last Fri­day and will also be meet­ing Prime Min­is­ter Tsh­er­ing Tob­gay. He will leave the coun­try on Au­gust 18.

The visit of Mr. Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Bhutan is in keep­ing with the tra­di­tion of ex­chang­ing high-level vis­its be­tween the two coun­tries.

His Majesty the King vis­ited Kuwait in Fe­bru­ary 2011 to at­tend the 50th an­niver­sary of Kuwait’s in­de­pen­dence at the in­vi­ta­tion of His High­ness Amir Sabah Al- Ahmed Al- Jaber Al Sabah of the State of Kuwait.

Diplomatic re­la­tions be­tween Bhutan and the State of Kuwait was es­tab­lished on 23rdMay, 1983. Bhutan es­tab­lished a res­i­dent Em­bassy in Kuwait in May 1983, while Kuwait es­tab­lished its em­bassy in Thim­phu on 29th De­cem­ber 2010. Bhutan and Kuwait main­tain very close and friendly re­la­tions.
