Kidney patients voices their concerns
The Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs has stopped giving approval for the collection of donations for the kidney patients for most two months. In order to address the issues a meeting was held in Thimphu last Thursday where 42 participants attended the meeting comprising of kidney patients and their relatives, transplant recipients and kidney donors. The minister for home and cultural affairs, Damcho Dorji chaired the meeting and addressed the floor the reason for the meet. General issues and problems faced by the patients were raised while the minister assured the participants that the problems are noted for the discussion with relevant ministries including health, finance and cabinet.
