Kid­ney pa­tients voices their con­cerns

The Min­istry of Home and Cul­tural Af­fairs has stopped giv­ing ap­proval for the col­lec­tion of do­na­tions for the kid­ney pa­tients for most two months. In or­der to ad­dress the is­sues a meet­ing was held in Thim­phu last Thurs­day where 42 par­tic­i­pants at­tended the meet­ing com­pris­ing of kid­ney pa­tients and their rel­a­tives, trans­plant re­cip­i­ents and kid­ney donors. The min­is­ter for home and cul­tural af­fairs, Dam­cho Dorji chaired the meet­ing and ad­dressed the floor the rea­son for the meet. Gen­eral is­sues and prob­lems faced by the pa­tients were raised while the min­is­ter as­sured the par­tic­i­pants that the prob­lems are noted for the dis­cus­sion with rel­e­vant min­istries in­clud­ing health, fi­nance and cabi­net.
