Nepal wins this year tour of the dragon

Atotal of 46 par­tic­i­pants regis­tered for the Tour of the Dragon, 5th se­ries, which in­cludes 40 male and the 6 fe­male but only 43 par­tic­i­pant turned up for the race for a dis­tance of 268 km from Bumthang to Thimphu. Five fe­males had turned up for the race, were all for­eign­ers.

The race started from Bumthang at 2:00 am yes­ter­day and ended in Thimphu clock tower square. From the par­tic­i­pants, 4 were from Nepal and 21 par­tic­i­pates were for­eign­ers. This year, the high­est num­ber of fe­male par­tic­i­pants and the for­eigner’s par­tic­i­pants are turned up com­pare to the pre­vi­ous year. Mean­while, the 1st po­si­tion was begged by Mr. Ajay Pan­dit Chet­tri from Nepal in 10hrs, 42 mins, 49 sec., 2nd po­si­tion begged by Mr. Raj Kumar Shre­stra from Nepal in 10hrs, 57 min, 45 sec. and 3rd po­si­tion begged by Mr. Sonam from Bhutan in 11hrs, 23 min, 57 sec.

The 1st po­si­tion took away cash price of Nu. 1, 50,000, 2nd po­si­tion took away a cash price Nu. 95,000 and the 3rd po­si­tion took away a cash price of Nu. 75, 000
