Pema Gat­sel gets a new Dzongkhag court

His Royal High­ness Gyalt­shab Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, ac­com­pa­nied by Ashi Yeatso Lhamo, graced the in­au­gu­ra­tion of the newly built Dzongkhag Court of Pema Gat­shel at Denchi last Fri­day. . His Royal High­ness also met and granted Tokha from His Majesty to more than 1500 peo­ple of the com­mu­nity. The peo­ple of­fered Tshogch­hang to HRH.

The Gov­ern­ment of Den­mark funded the con­struc­tion of the new court.

His Royal High­ness and Ashi Yeatso of­fered prayers at the Yongla Riwo Pel­bar Dar­gay­ch­hol­ing Gonpa in Pema Gat­shel. The Pema Gat­shel Dzongkhag Rabdey, Dzongkhag of­fi­cials, and Lo­cal Lead­ers of­fered KuSung-Thugten Men­drel for the well­be­ing and longevity of His Majesty The King and the coun­try.

His Royal High­ness in­spected the on­go­ing re­con­struc­tion of Yongla Lhakhang, which was se­verely dam­aged by earth­quake on 21st Septem­ber 2009.

His Royal High­ness also vis­ited Pema Gat­shel Mid­dle Sec­ondary School, and con­veyed His Majesty’s com­mand to the stu­dents to study hard and be­come ca­pa­ble cit­i­zens of the fu­ture.

His Royal High­ness also granted Tokha on be­half of His Majesty to the new Gyalpoi Tozeys. 191 stu­dents (Gyalpoi Tozeys) and 40 el­derly peo­ple from Pema Gat­shel be­came re­cip­i­ents of His Majesty’s Kidu for stu­dents and the el­derly.

On Wed­nes­day, 29th Oc­to­ber, His Royal High­ness vis­ited Khar, Chong­sh­ing and Yu­rung Gewogs in Pema Gat­shel. On the way, His Royal High­ness met hun­dreds of peo­ple at Prab­ula, Denchi, Tse­bar, and Thongsa. The peo­ple of­fered Tshogch­hang. His Royal High­ness vis­ited Tse­bar and Yu­rung Schools.

His Royal High­ness also in­spected the ‘Dung and Jal­ing’ mak­ing at Tse­bar Lhakhang and ‘Kamthangma Bu­ray’ weav­ing at Thongsa, Chong­sh­ing.

On 28th Oc­to­ber, His Royal High­ness graced the in­au­gu­ra­tion of Khenad­rang Re­ha­bili- tation Project and the con­se­cra­tion of the newly built Khenad­rang com­mu­nity lhakhang in Zo­bel, Pema Gat­shel. His Royal High­ness pre­sented a Thong­droel of Ugyen Guru Rin­poche from His Majesty The King, which was con­se­crated and dis­played for pub­lic on the aus­pi­cious oc­ca­sion.

His Royal High­ness also granted a Tokha on be­half of His Majesty to more than 1000 peo­ple. The peo­ple of­fered Tshogch­hang to His Royal High­ness.

A med­i­cal team ac­com­pa­ny­ing HRH con­ducted a Health Camp and checked and treated more than 60 peo­ple. Sev­eral of them were re­ferred to Pema Gat­shel Dzongkhag hos­pi­tal for follow-up treat­ment.
