Pema Gatsel gets a new Dzongkhag court
His Royal Highness Gyaltshab Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, accompanied by Ashi Yeatso Lhamo, graced the inauguration of the newly built Dzongkhag Court of Pema Gatshel at Denchi last Friday. . His Royal Highness also met and granted Tokha from His Majesty to more than 1500 people of the community. The people offered Tshogchhang to HRH.
The Government of Denmark funded the construction of the new court.
His Royal Highness and Ashi Yeatso offered prayers at the Yongla Riwo Pelbar Dargaychholing Gonpa in Pema Gatshel. The Pema Gatshel Dzongkhag Rabdey, Dzongkhag officials, and Local Leaders offered KuSung-Thugten Mendrel for the wellbeing and longevity of His Majesty The King and the country.
His Royal Highness inspected the ongoing reconstruction of Yongla Lhakhang, which was severely damaged by earthquake on 21st September 2009.
His Royal Highness also visited Pema Gatshel Middle Secondary School, and conveyed His Majesty’s command to the students to study hard and become capable citizens of the future.
His Royal Highness also granted Tokha on behalf of His Majesty to the new Gyalpoi Tozeys. 191 students (Gyalpoi Tozeys) and 40 elderly people from Pema Gatshel became recipients of His Majesty’s Kidu for students and the elderly.
On Wednesday, 29th October, His Royal Highness visited Khar, Chongshing and Yurung Gewogs in Pema Gatshel. On the way, His Royal Highness met hundreds of people at Prabula, Denchi, Tsebar, and Thongsa. The people offered Tshogchhang. His Royal Highness visited Tsebar and Yurung Schools.
His Royal Highness also inspected the ‘Dung and Jaling’ making at Tsebar Lhakhang and ‘Kamthangma Buray’ weaving at Thongsa, Chongshing.
On 28th October, His Royal Highness graced the inauguration of Khenadrang Rehabili- tation Project and the consecration of the newly built Khenadrang community lhakhang in Zobel, Pema Gatshel. His Royal Highness presented a Thongdroel of Ugyen Guru Rinpoche from His Majesty The King, which was consecrated and displayed for public on the auspicious occasion.
His Royal Highness also granted a Tokha on behalf of His Majesty to more than 1000 people. The people offered Tshogchhang to His Royal Highness.
A medical team accompanying HRH conducted a Health Camp and checked and treated more than 60 people. Several of them were referred to Pema Gatshel Dzongkhag hospital for follow-up treatment.
