Cel­e­bra­tion of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo Birth An­niver­sary aboard

The cel­e­bra­tion of the birth an­niver­sary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo be­gan with the host­ing of the na­tional flag at the Royal Bhutan Em­bassy premises in Bangkok, Thai­land and re­leas­ing of 108 birds as Tsedar. It was fol­lowed by Tshe­drup prayers for the long life and well be­ing of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo . A cul­tural pro­gramme by the Em­bassy of­fi­cials and Bhutanese Stu­dents in Bangkok from var­i­ous Univer­si­ties was pre­sented after that.

In the af­ter­noon a Sem­i­nar on GNH and brief cul­tural pro­gramme and re­cep­tion was held at the Rangsit Univer­sity. The Sem­i­nar was or­ga­nized in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Rangsit Univer­sity at­tended by se­nior fac­ulty mem­bers of the univer­sity, fac­ul­ties from , Asian In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy , am­bas­sadors and mem­bers of the diplo­matic corps,

An abridged doc­u­men­tary ti­tled ‘ A King in the ser­vice of his peo­ple’ of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck was also screened that was very well re­ceived by the gath­er­ing and well wish­ers.

The pro­gramme con­cluded with a fes­tive Re­cep­tion and cut­ting of the Cake and rais­ing the toast to the Long Life of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and His Majesty the King of Thai­land and GNH Day.
