HM grants land Kidu in Pema­gat­shel

His Majesty The King granted 20,969.57 acres of Land as Kidu to 9,339 ben­e­fi­cia­ries from the 11 gewogs of Pema­gat­shel. Thram-hold­ers who were re­quired to pay ex­cess cost were granted ex­emp­tion, and those who had al­ready paid were granted re­fund. Pema­gat­shel is the 12th Dzongkhag in which His Majesty has granted Land Kidu in a na­tion­wide ex­er­cise to re­solve all ac­cu­mu­lated land is­sues, once and for all. More than five thou­sand peo­ple gath­ered for an op­por­tu­nity to meet with their King and Gyalt­suen and of­fer Tshogchang. His Majesty granted an Au­di­ence and tokha to the peo­ple. His Majesty also granted Au­di­ence to Dzongkhag of­fi­cials and lo­cal gov­ern­ment rep­re­sen­ta­tives, and granted kidu to care for Gyalpoi Tozeys and el­derly cit­i­zens. In the af­ter­noon, His Majesty vis­ited the Pema­gat­shel Dzong con­struc­tion site.
