HM grants land Kidu in Pemagatshel
His Majesty The King granted 20,969.57 acres of Land as Kidu to 9,339 beneficiaries from the 11 gewogs of Pemagatshel. Thram-holders who were required to pay excess cost were granted exemption, and those who had already paid were granted refund. Pemagatshel is the 12th Dzongkhag in which His Majesty has granted Land Kidu in a nationwide exercise to resolve all accumulated land issues, once and for all. More than five thousand people gathered for an opportunity to meet with their King and Gyaltsuen and offer Tshogchang. His Majesty granted an Audience and tokha to the people. His Majesty also granted Audience to Dzongkhag officials and local government representatives, and granted kidu to care for Gyalpoi Tozeys and elderly citizens. In the afternoon, His Majesty visited the Pemagatshel Dzong construction site.
