The Indian Ambassador inaugurates Pantang and Rindeygang Bridges
The Indian Ambassador to Bhutan His Excellency Gautam Bambawale inaugurated the Pantang and Rindeygang bridges which are part of the Gomphu-Panbang Highway on the 30th of December 2014. Dasho ( Dr) Sonam Tenzin, Secretary, Ministry of Works and Human Settlement, member of the Parliament from Panbang constituency Dorji Wangdi and Karma Galay, Director, Department of Roads (DoR) was present at the opening ceremony. The 128 meter long Pantang Bridge was constructed at a cost of Nu. 271.407 million, while the 75 meter long Rindeygang Bridge was constructed at a cost of Nu. 77.24 million with GOI funding. Ambassador also inspected the Gomphu-Panbang road and the RayfeeKhosala road projects also being funded by Government of India. The total construction cost of the 39 km Gomphu-Panbang Road, being funded by the Government of India, is Nu. 1734.279 million.
