Bhutan receives first tranche for the second batch of small development projects
The Gross National Happiness Commission received a cheque of Nu. 385 million from the Government of India for the second batch payment under the Small Development Projects.
The Deputy Chief of Mission of India Embassy Bishwadip Dey handed over a cheque to Mr. Sonam Wangchuk, Secretary of Gross National Happiness Commission on 25th February, 2015.
The Government of India has committed Nu. 8,500 million for Small Development Projects ( SDP’s ) under 11th FYP of the Royal Government of Bhutan In total 303 SDPs worth Nu. 4550 million has already been approved and Nu. 936 million has been released to RGoB. This is in line with GoI’s commitment for expeditious release of funds.
