Sec­ond Batch of Vol­un­teers Re­turn Home

The sec­ond batch of med­i­cal re­lief team con­sist­ing of 22 med­i­cal team mem­bers ar­rived back in the coun­try on Fri­day. The cabi­net Sec­re­tary Mr. Kin­zang Wangdi, Sec­re­tary of Min­istry of Health Dr. Dorji Wangchuk, and Zim­pon Wongma Tashi Pen­jore, Of­fice of the Gyalpoi Zim­pon re­ceived the team at the Paro In­ter­na­tional Air­port. The re­main­ing mem­bers of the team have be­gun wind­ing up the camp and are sched­uled to ar­rive back early next week. In the mean­time, doc­tors still con­tin­ued to treat non-earth­quke re­lated pa­tients, on the re­quest of hos­pi­tal staff, while they are there. The Chair of the Multi Sec­to­rial Team – Bhutan4Nepal hosted a lunch re­cep­tion to wel­come back the Bhutanese vol­un­teers, who have done His Majesty the King and their coun­try proud.
