PM meets delegation from Korea
Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay was called on by Mr. Park Byeong-Seug, Member of National Assembly and delegation from the Republic of Korea at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang last Monday. After an exchange of pleasantries, Lyonchhen said Bhutan has enjoyed close cooperation and partnership spanning over 28 years with South Korea. Lyonchhen also requested the delegation to consider Bhutan to be on its list of Employment Permit System, so that Bhutan can send Bhutanese youth to work in Korea. Lyonchhen said that the youth who are sent to Korea would be able to inculcate the good values of sincerity and work ethics, and for which Korea is very well respected. Mr. Byeong Seug agreed to take up this issue to his government in South Korea. Lyonchhen and Mr. Byeong Seug also exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations and people-to-people contact by fostering trade, promoting investment, agriculture, education, IT and tourism among others. Lyonchhen thanked the delegation for Korea’s significant contribution in assuaging sports and filmmaking activities in Bhutan.
