Thai Am­bas­sador bids farewell

The am­bas­sador of Thai­land to Bhutan, H.E. Ms. Madu­rapoc­hana It­tarong made a farewell call on Ly­onch­hen Tsh­er­ing Tob­gay at the Gya­ly­ong Tshogkhang last Tues­day. The Prime Min­is­ter thanked her for over­see­ing the strength­en­ing of Bhutan-Thai­land re­la­tion­ship and con­veyed that the friend­ship be­tween the two coun­tries have en­joyed tremen­dous suc­cess dur­ing the Am­bas­sador’s ten­ure. Ly­onch­hen ex­tended his ap­pre­ci­a­tion on the progress and de­vel­op­ment of Thai­land and added that Bhutan has ben­e­fit­ted a lot from Thai­land in terms of ed­u­ca­tion schol­ar­ships, trade op­por­tu­ni­ties and tourism ac­tiv­i­ties. He said that the sim­i­lar cul­tural val­ues and her­itage shared by the peo­ple of the two coun­tries have to be cher­ished for all times to come. Am­bas­sador It­tarong said that she was priv­i­leged to be a part of the ex­cel­lent ties be­tween Bhutan and Thai­land and thanked the Prime Min­is­ter for the co­op­er­a­tion ex­tended to her dur­ing her stay in Bhutan.
