Ly­onch­hen met with the Prime Min­is­ter of Slove­nia, Dr. Miro Cerar in New York. Dur­ing the meet­ing, the two Prime Min­is­ters agreed that the two coun­tries shared much in com­mon, and agreed to work to­wards strength­en­ing and en­hanc­ing bi­lat­eral re­la­tions.

Ly­onch­hen also de­liv­ered his state­ment at the “High Level Fo­rum of Land­locked De­vel­op­ing Coun­tries at the Heads of State & Heads of Gov­ern­ment Level”.

Ad­dress­ing the high level fo­rum, Ly­onch­hen high­lighted on the two im­por­tant is­sues that were at the heart of ad­dress­ing the spe­cial needs of land­locked de­vel­op­ing coun­tries and the fun­da­men­tal for land­locked de­vel­op­ing coun­tries to be able to achieve trans­for­ma­tion in the next decade. “First, was the im­per­a­tive of eco­nomic growth, par­tic­u­larly the crit­i­cal need for struc­tural eco­nomic trans­for­ma­tion and to build pro­duc­tive ca­pac­ity within the LLDCs. And sec­ond is the build­ing of vi­tal in­fra­struc­ture nec­es­sary to im­prove con- nec­tiv­ity and ac­cess of land­locked de­vel­op­ing coun­tries to the out­side world and mar­kets”.

Ly­onch­h­hen also at­tended the re­cep­tion hosted by the Pres­i­dent of the United States & Mrs. Obama for Lead­ers of Del­e­ga­tions to the 70th UN Gen­eral Assem­bly.
