Lyonchhen meets with the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Dr. Miro Cerar in New York
Lyonchhen met with the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Dr. Miro Cerar in New York. During the meeting, the two Prime Ministers agreed that the two countries shared much in common, and agreed to work towards strengthening and enhancing bilateral relations.
Lyonchhen also delivered his statement at the “High Level Forum of Landlocked Developing Countries at the Heads of State & Heads of Government Level”.
Addressing the high level forum, Lyonchhen highlighted on the two important issues that were at the heart of addressing the special needs of landlocked developing countries and the fundamental for landlocked developing countries to be able to achieve transformation in the next decade. “First, was the imperative of economic growth, particularly the critical need for structural economic transformation and to build productive capacity within the LLDCs. And second is the building of vital infrastructure necessary to improve con- nectivity and access of landlocked developing countries to the outside world and markets”.
Lyonchhhen also attended the reception hosted by the President of the United States & Mrs. Obama for Leaders of Delegations to the 70th UN General Assembly.
