Ly­onch­hen meets Pres­i­den­tial En­voy from Egypt

The Prime Min­is­ter Tsh­er­ing Tob­gay was called on by Am­bas­sador Ba­her Na­bil Ab­delfat­tah Helmy, Pres­i­den­tial En­voy of Arab Re­pub­lic of Egypt to Bhutan at the Gya­ly­ong Tshogkhang last Thurs­day.

Ly­onch­hen thanked the am­bas­sador for per­son­ally vis­it­ing Bhutan and con­vey­ing the warm greet­ings of his Pres­i­dent. He said that this ges­ture is an in­di­ca­tion of the value at­tached to Bhutan’s cor­dial re­la­tions with Egypt.

The Prime Min­is­ter and am­bas­sador Helmy talked about the need and im­por­tance of main­tain­ing global peace and se­cu­rity. On this, Ly­onch­hen ex­pressed his ap­pre­ci­a­tion for Egypt’s con­struc­tive role in es­tab­lish­ing peace and se­cu­rity and for its sup­port to all UN ef­forts. To­gether with Egypt and the rest of the world, Ly­onch­hen said that, Bhutan stood to re­main fully com­mit­ted to­ward main­te­nance of in­ter­na­tional peace and se­cu­rity.

Mean­while, the Prime Min­is­ter also con­veyed that he has noth­ing but great ad­mi­ra­tion for Egypt’s his­tor­i­cal dis­cov­er­ies, which cor­rob­o­rates the beau­ti­ful coun­try as a cra­dle of an­cient won­der and a source of fas­ci­na­tion for peo­ple all over the world.
