Lyonchhen meets Presidential Envoy from Egypt
The Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay was called on by Ambassador Baher Nabil Abdelfattah Helmy, Presidential Envoy of Arab Republic of Egypt to Bhutan at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang last Thursday.
Lyonchhen thanked the ambassador for personally visiting Bhutan and conveying the warm greetings of his President. He said that this gesture is an indication of the value attached to Bhutan’s cordial relations with Egypt.
The Prime Minister and ambassador Helmy talked about the need and importance of maintaining global peace and security. On this, Lyonchhen expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s constructive role in establishing peace and security and for its support to all UN efforts. Together with Egypt and the rest of the world, Lyonchhen said that, Bhutan stood to remain fully committed toward maintenance of international peace and security.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also conveyed that he has nothing but great admiration for Egypt’s historical discoveries, which corroborates the beautiful country as a cradle of ancient wonder and a source of fascination for people all over the world.
