His Majesty cel­e­brates Dashain in Lokchina

22 Oc­to­ber 2015, Lokchina: It was a spe­cial Dashain for the peo­ple of Lokchina Ge­wog, who were priv­i­leged to wel­come His Majesty The King to their ge­wog and re­ceive Tika per­son­ally from their King.

Hun­dreds of peo­ple from the ge­wog, as well as from neigh­bour­ing ar­eas, were gath­ered at the school grounds to meet their King on the aus­pi­cious day, and re­ceived the Dashain Tika.

His Majesty granted Tokha and spent the day amongst the peo­ple, who pre­sented cul­tural per- for­mances for the oc­cas­sion.

Ad­dress­ing the peo­ple, His Majesty said that it was im­por­tant for the Bhutanese peo­ple to re­main united and live in har­mony, so that the fu­ture of the coun­try con­tin­ues to be se­cure and peace­ful.

His Majesty re­as­sured them that their dif­fi­cul­ties and kidu would con­tinue to re­ceive His Majesty’s per­sonal at­ten­tion.

Af­ter the pub­lic cel­e­bra­tion, His Majesty spent the rest of the day vis­it­ing the peo­ple in their homes till late in the evening. His Majesty spent the night camped in Lokchina.

Yes­ter­day, His Majesty and Her Majesty The Gyalt­suen granted Au­di­ence to the peo­ple of Sam­pheling ge­wog, where His Majesty granted Tokha to the peo­ple.

Their Majesties are on a Royal Tour of the vil­lages across Ch­hukha Dzongkhag. His Majesty granted land Kidu to the peo­ple of Ch­hukha on Oc­to­ber 15.
