Thimpu, November 19th, 2015: Taking forward their mission of ‘Gracious Living’, Kohler Kitchen and Bath launches its first ever store in Olarangchu, Thimphu, Bhutan. The new Kohler showroom is a state of the art, one of a kind store offering distinctive style, array of choices and an uncompromising promise of performance. The store houses a variety of Kohler products such as baths, faucets, toilets, shower heads and panels across different price ranges and is spread over 700 sq. ft.

Kohler is a global leader in kitchen and bath products. As a brand, Kohler stands for Design & innovation, which lends to product experiences that are unique. With a range of Artist Editions® products which are hand crafted and inspired from rich cultures across the globe to a fully automated showering experience with DTV+ and differentiated colors like Black in the bathroom with the Veil wall hung, KOHLER brings unique experiences to consumers every day.

The mission of our company is to enhance the level of ‘Gracious Living’ for everybody. Today, with more than 50 manufacturing locations on 6 continents, more than 30,000 Kohler associates are able to present the concept of gracious living in every corner of the world.

The well-heeled consumer in Bhutan is not very different from other developed markets and are heavy spenders on high quality homes, interiors, clothing, education and travel today. With the evolved lifestyles, Bhutan’s growing emerging markets, growing hospitality and exposure to international brands, consumers are seeking luxury. This leaves a great potential for the market and purveyors of luxury goods.

The new showroom has been built keeping in mind the rising demand for products with modern, aesthetic designs and multifunctional utilities. This store compliments Kohler’s aims to be the one stop destination for those inclined towards a luxurious and sophisticated bathing experience, well matched with durability and style. The lifestyle of consumers is changing and there is a new wave moving towards making bathrooms look less like bathrooms and more like living rooms. As bathrooms continue to evolve, the products installed are also evolving in terms of the design, technology and craftsmanship involved. Products as simple as bath and toilets are employing technology such as chromatherapy, UV cleaning and touch interface.

Speaking on the inauguration, Salil Sadanandan, Managing Director, Kohler Kitchen & Bath South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, said, “Bhutan is an important market for us and the opening of our first store is a reflection of our commitment. We are thrilled to expand our presence globally with a powerful portfolio of products. Kohler is tapping on the upsurge of the luxury market and is committed to developing dynamic designs for projects here. Through this launch we believe in providing products that meet the requirements of discerning customers and offering user benefits as a result of continuous innovation and state of the art technologies.”
