Sec­ond con­tin­gent of mil­i­tary ob­servers left for Su­dan

As a part of the United Na­tions Peace Keep­ing mis­sions, Lt. Col. Khitu Dukpa and Ma­jor Tsh­er­ing Pen­jor left Bhutan on De­cem­ber 11 as mil­i­tary ob­servers to South Su­dan. Ly­onch­hen wished the of­fi­cers well in all their en­deav­ors and said that the coun­try took im­mense pride in them for par­tic­i­pat­ing and ren­der­ing their ef­forts for this no­ble hu­man­i­tar­ian cause. So far, 29 of­fi­cers and NCOs have been de­ployed for var­i­ous peace keep­ing mis­sions.
