Sixty free rides to sixty peo­ple

As a part of 60th birth an­niver­sary com­mem­o­ra­tion, the Royal Bhutan air­lines, Druk air gave away 60 free tick­ets to 60 lucky trav­ellers in Thim­phu last Wed­nes­day. The of­fer was for those who had trav­elled from Paro to other des­ti­na­tions af­ter 11th Novem­ber this year. . The trav­ellers are of­fered with two-way re­turn ticket ride and they are free to choose any des­ti­na­tion they like to go. Forty thou­sand nine hun­dred seventy one en­tries were recorded un­til Wed­nes­day and tick­ets were sold to peo­ple from Paro and Thim­phu coun­ters. Druk Air CEO Tandin Wangchuk said this was done mainly to cel­e­brate 60th birth an­niver­sary of Fourth Druk Gyalpo. He added that re­porters from var­i­ous me­dia houses were called as to ex­hibit trans­parency while se­lect­ing the tick­ets.
