In­dian Am­bas­sador’s schol­ar­ship for vo­ca­tional cour­ses

The In­dian Em­bassy in Bhutan has in­tro­duced a num­bers of vo­ca­tional cour­ses in In­dia. The In­dian Am­bas­sador’s Schol­ar­ship Scheme spon­sors the schol­ar­ship for the pe­riod 2015-16

There are long-term cour­ses and short-term cour­ses. The long-term cour­ses in­clude Diploma in con­struc­tion man­age­ment, which de­mands a qual­i­fi­ca­tion of class 12th pass and Diploma in food & bev­er­age ser­vice, which re­quires 10+2 or equiv­a­lent with English as one of the sub­jects. The long-term cour­ses are for a pe­riod of one year.

The short term cour­ses which is for six months in­clude elec­tri­cian, plumb­ing, car­pen­try, ar­chi­tec­tural as­sist­ant­ship which re­quire a min­i­mum qual­i­fi­ca­tion of 10th pass, Diploma in bak­ing, con­fec­tionary and cake art with a min­i­mum qual­i­fi­ca­tion of 12th pass and pro­fes­sional Diploma in Cos­me­tol­ogy which re­quires sec­ondary level cer­tifi­cate.

This is a first kind of schol­ar­ship for tech­ni­cal stu­dents in Bhutan. The In­dian am­bas­sador to Bhutan Gau­tam Bam­bawale met with the se­lected stu­dents on Thurs­day in Thim­phu.
