His Majesty grants audiences in Phuentsholing
16 January 2016, Phuentsholing: His Majesty The King granted an audience to the participants of the leadership program for parliamentarians at the Royal Institute of Governance and Strategic Studies.
Twenty-nine members of the National Council and National Assembly are currently attending the two-week program, designed, as requested by both Houses of the Parliament, to provide a platform for discussion of important national goals and challenges, create awareness of values and to impart some of the key skills needed for effective leadership and governance.
Earlier today, His Majesty granted an Audience to the participants of Annual National Land Commission Workshop, which was underway in Phuentsholing. The participants consisted of land record personnel, surveyors, planners, land managers, and administrators from all dzongkhags, drungkhags, thromdes, and the NLC Secretariat.
His Majesty also granted an Audience to educators and education officials participating in an orientation workshop for non-formal education instructors.
His Majesty graced the Friday Forum lecture delivered by the Indian politician, Mani Shankhar Aiyar, yesterday at RIGSS.
