His Majesty grants au­di­ences in Phuentshol­ing

16 Jan­uary 2016, Phuentshol­ing: His Majesty The King granted an au­di­ence to the par­tic­i­pants of the lead­er­ship pro­gram for par­lia­men­tar­i­ans at the Royal In­sti­tute of Gov­er­nance and Strate­gic Stud­ies.

Twenty-nine mem­bers of the Na­tional Coun­cil and Na­tional As­sem­bly are cur­rently at­tend­ing the two-week pro­gram, de­signed, as re­quested by both Houses of the Par­lia­ment, to pro­vide a plat­form for dis­cus­sion of im­por­tant na­tional goals and chal­lenges, cre­ate aware­ness of val­ues and to im­part some of the key skills needed for ef­fec­tive lead­er­ship and gov­er­nance.

Ear­lier to­day, His Majesty granted an Au­di­ence to the par­tic­i­pants of An­nual Na­tional Land Com­mis­sion Work­shop, which was un­der­way in Phuentshol­ing. The par­tic­i­pants con­sisted of land record per­son­nel, sur­vey­ors, plan­ners, land man­agers, and ad­min­is­tra­tors from all dzongkhags, drungkhags, thromdes, and the NLC Sec­re­tar­iat.

His Majesty also granted an Au­di­ence to ed­u­ca­tors and education of­fi­cials par­tic­i­pat­ing in an ori­en­ta­tion work­shop for non-for­mal education in­struc­tors.

His Majesty graced the Fri­day Fo­rum lecture de­liv­ered by the In­dian politi­cian, Mani Shankhar Ai­yar, yes­ter­day at RIGSS.
