Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay during his visit to Thrimshing last Friday said that the government is investing a lot in sustaining and continuing free healthcare services to the citizens in the nation. Under the heath sector as a 50-bedded hospital is under construction in Dewathang. It is expected to benefit people living in neighboring Gewogs of Trashigang. The government’s responsibility is to sustain free healthcare and Lyonchhen advises the villagers to avail healthcare services wisely and to avoid wasteful use of medicines. He emphasizes that it is very crucial to take a firm stand on being responsible and preventing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, particularly AIDS and other harmful infections. “Childbirth is risky. Deliver your child at BHUs/hospitals which provides professional care and related services.” “Sanitation, a sense of hygiene and adopting healthy lifestyles would work wonders in promoting your overall wellbeing.”
