Fri­day Fo­rum at RIGSS

15 Jan­uary 2016: His Majesty The King graced the Fri­day Fo­rum lecture, de­liv­ered by the In­dian politi­cian, Mani Shankar Ai­yar, at the Royal In­sti­tute of Gov­er­nance and Strate­gic Stud­ies, Phuentshol­ing. The lecture was also at­tended by a large au­di­ence com­pris­ing of govern­ment of­fi­cials and the pub­lic. Mr. Mani Shankhar Ai­yar, a for­mer diplo­mat turned politi­cian, and for­merly the Union Min­is­ter of Pan­chay­ati Raj in In­dia, spoke about lo­cal gov­er­nance in a lecture en­ti­tled ‘Democ­racy- From Par­lia­ment to the Grass­roots.’ Mean­while, 29 mem­bers of par­lia­ment from the Na­tional Coun­cil as well as the Na­tional As­sem­bly are at­tend­ing the on­go­ing Lead­er­ship Pro­gram for Par­lia­men­tar­i­ans at RIGSS.
