Thim­phu elects its Thromde rep­re­sen­ta­tives

With the suc­cess­ful Thromde tshogde elec­tion con­ducted by ECB last Mon­day, now for­mal Thim­phu Thrompon Mr. Kin­lay Dor­jee will be the next Thim­phu Thrompon for an­other five years.

He was a lone can­di­date con­test­ing for the Thrompon can­di­dates. Dur­ing the Se­cond Lo­cal Govern­ment Elec­tion he was re-elected and he got 2104 vote through elec­tronic vot­ing ma­chine (EVM) and three votes through postal bal­lot which makes to 2107 out of 7278 reg­is­tered vot­ers.

Sim­i­larly, Thim­phu Thromde Thuemi, Mr. Kin­ley will be the next Thromde Thuemi since he is the only can­di­date con­test­ing for the Thromde Thuemi. While vot­ing “Yes” or “No”, he got 1918 through EVM and two through Postal Bal­lot which makes to 1920 “yes” votes out of 7278 reg­is­tered vot­ers and elected as Thim­phu Thromde Thuemi.

Sim­i­larly, Mr. Ugyen will be the Tshogpa for Dechench­hol­ing-Taba Demkhong. He got 194 “yes” votes through EVM and one “yes” vote through postal bal­lot which makes to 195 votes out of 616 reg­is­tered vot­ers.

From Chang­gangkha Demkhong, Mr. Rinzin Dorji was elected as Tshogpa. He got 203 “yes” vote through EVM which makes to to­tal of 203 votes out of 805 reg­is­tered vot­ers.

Mr. Ugyen Pen­jor was elected as Tshogpa for Jung­shina-Kawa­jangsa Demkhong. He got 335 “yes” votes through EVM and one vote through postal bal­lot which makes to to­tal of 336 votes out of 1252 reg­is­tered vot­ers.

Sim­i­larly, Mrs. Dorji Dema was elected as Tshogpa for Motithang Demkhong. She got 113 votes through EVM which makes to 113 votes out of 457 reg­is­tered vot­ers.

Like­wise, Mr. Kuenga Yon­ten will be the Tshogpa for Norzin Demkhong. He got 282 “yes” votes through EVM which makes to 282 votes out of 1412 reg­is­tered vot­ers.

Mrs. Phub Dema will be the Tshogpa of Chang Bangdu-Olakha Demkhong. She got 536 “yes” votes through EVM and one “yes” through postal bal­lot which makes to 536 “yes” votes out of 1869 reg­is­tered vot­ers. And fi­nally, Mr. Nam­gay Tsh­er­ing was elected as Tshogpa for Babesa Demkhong. He got 326 “yes” votes through EVM which makes to 326 “yes” votes out of 867 reg­is­tered vot­ers.
