Sons & daugh­ters, please save wa­ter

A one day work­shop on wa­ter con­ser­va­tion was or­ga­nized for stu­dents of Project Dan­tak School at the Project au­di­to­rium on the eve of World Wa­ter Day on 16 March 2016. The Theme of the work­shop was “Sons & Daugh­ters, Please Save Wa­ter” The Work­shop was in­au­gu­rated by Chief Guest Dr (Mrs) Ar­chana Mishra, Wife of Brig PKG Mishra, Chief En­gi­neer Project Dan­tak, who dur­ing her in­au­gu­ral ad­dress ex­pressed her views on need for chil­dren to learn im­por­tance of sav­ing wa­ter and teach the same to el­ders back home. In ad­di­tion to the school chil­dren the work­shop wit­nessed ac­tive par­tic­i­pa­tion by all ladies and chil­dren of Project Dan­tak. The work­shop was aimed at ed­u­cat­ing the au­di­ence about im­por­tance of wa­ter in the healthy ecosys­tem, wa­ter con­ser­va­tion prac­tices in day to day life, bet­ter man­age­ment of avail­able wa­ter re­sources and ef­forts to min­i­mize wa­ter wastage. On the eve of the work­shop a slo­gan writ­ing and draw­ing com­pe­ti­tion had also been con­ducted. It saw ac­tive and en­thu­si­as­tic par­tic­i­pa­tion by the chil­dren who were imag­i­na­tive and in­no­va­tive in con­vey­ing the con­ser­va­tion mes­sage through their slo­gans and draw­ings. The Chief Guest dis­trib­uted prizes to the chil­dren with the best slo­gan and draw­ing. The work­shop was highly ap­pre­ci­ated and was a grand suc­cess.
