Sons & daughters, please save water
A one day workshop on water conservation was organized for students of Project Dantak School at the Project auditorium on the eve of World Water Day on 16 March 2016. The Theme of the workshop was “Sons & Daughters, Please Save Water” The Workshop was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr (Mrs) Archana Mishra, Wife of Brig PKG Mishra, Chief Engineer Project Dantak, who during her inaugural address expressed her views on need for children to learn importance of saving water and teach the same to elders back home. In addition to the school children the workshop witnessed active participation by all ladies and children of Project Dantak. The workshop was aimed at educating the audience about importance of water in the healthy ecosystem, water conservation practices in day to day life, better management of available water resources and efforts to minimize water wastage. On the eve of the workshop a slogan writing and drawing competition had also been conducted. It saw active and enthusiastic participation by the children who were imaginative and innovative in conveying the conservation message through their slogans and drawings. The Chief Guest distributed prizes to the children with the best slogan and drawing. The workshop was highly appreciated and was a grand success.
