Bhutan Ambassador made her farewell call
Aum Pema Choden, Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, made her farewell calls on the President , Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Bangladesh in the last week March 2016,upon completion of her tenure in Bangladesh. The ambassador expressed gratitude for the wholehearted support and cooperation received from the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh during her tenure. The Bangladeshi leaders thanked the ambassador for her positive contributions in strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries which have been reflected by the exchange of many successful high level visits in the past two years. Other issues related to areas of mutual interest such as cooperation in power sector, trade and commerce, connectivity, and sub-regional cooperation were also discussed. Aum Pema Choden also made her farewell visits to South Korea, Sri Lanka and Maldives in January and February 2016. Aum Pema Choden was appointed Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh with concurrent accreditation to Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan and South Korea in April 2014. She will assume duties as Ambassador of Bhutan to Belgium with concurrent accreditation to the European Union, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden in April this year.
