Bhutan Am­bas­sador made her farewell call

Aum Pema Cho­den, Am­bas­sador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, made her farewell calls on the Pres­i­dent , Prime Min­is­ter and For­eign Min­is­ter of Bangladesh in the last week March 2016,upon com­ple­tion of her ten­ure in Bangladesh. The am­bas­sador ex­pressed grat­i­tude for the whole­hearted sup­port and co­op­er­a­tion re­ceived from the Gov­ern­ment of the Peo­ple’s Re­pub­lic of Bangladesh dur­ing her ten­ure. The Bangladeshi lead­ers thanked the am­bas­sador for her pos­i­tive con­tri­bu­tions in strength­en­ing the friendly re­la­tions be­tween the two coun­tries which have been re­flected by the ex­change of many suc­cess­ful high level vis­its in the past two years. Other is­sues re­lated to ar­eas of mu­tual in­ter­est such as co­op­er­a­tion in power sec­tor, trade and com­merce, con­nec­tiv­ity, and sub-re­gional co­op­er­a­tion were also dis­cussed. Aum Pema Cho­den also made her farewell vis­its to South Korea, Sri Lanka and Mal­dives in Jan­uary and Fe­bru­ary 2016. Aum Pema Cho­den was ap­pointed Am­bas­sador of Bhutan to Bangladesh with con­cur­rent ac­cred­i­ta­tion to Sri Lanka, Mal­dives, Pak­istan and South Korea in April 2014. She will as­sume du­ties as Am­bas­sador of Bhutan to Bel­gium with con­cur­rent ac­cred­i­ta­tion to the Euro­pean Union, Aus­tria, Den­mark, Fin­land, Nether­lands, Spain and Swe­den in April this year.
