Am­bas­sador of Sin­ga­pore to Bhutan call on Ly­onch­hen

Ly­onch­hen Dasho Tsh­er­ing Tob­gay met with H. E. Mr. Lim Thuan Kuan, Am­bas­sador of Sin­ga­pore to Bhutan at Gya­ly­ong Tshogkhang last Tues­day

The Am­bas­sador in­formed Ly­onch­hen that he had come to Bhutan to ex­pand ar­eas of co­op­er­a­tions be­tween the two coun­tries. Ly­onch­hen thanked the Am­bas­sador for the in­ter­est and the op­por­tu­nity and said that he looks at Sin­ga­pore with great deal of ad­mi­ra­tion and has high re­gards for the coun­try and its sys­tem. The Am­bas­sador also in­formed Ly­onch­hen that Bhutan has many friends in Sin­ga­pore. “This is all be­cause of His Majesty the King,” Ly­onch­hen shared. On be­half of the govern­ment and the peo­ple of Sin­ga­pore, the Am­bas­sador ex­pressed high ap­pre­ci­a­tion to His Majesty the King for grac­ing the fu­neral of Late Lee Kuan Yew.

Ly­onch­hen and the Am­bas­sador dis­cussed wide range of ar­eas for co- op­er­a­tions in­clud­ing - Tourism, In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy, Vo­ca­tional Train­ing, Agri­cul­ture, Ed­u­ca­tion, Small and Cot­tage In­dus­tries and Data Cen­ter amongst many oth­ers.
