Con­struc­tion in­dus­try show­cases new­est tech­nol­ogy

The Con­struc­tion in­dus­tries in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Bhutan Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­tries is or­gan­is­ing a four-day Bhutan Con­struc­tion Expo. The Expo that ends on 19 June show­cases lat­est prod­ucts and tech­nolo­gies un­der one roof in Thim­phu.

The Expo pro­vides a plat­form to show­case lat­est tech­nolo­gies, prod­ucts, and ser­vices in the field of con­struc­tion sec­tor. It cre­ates aware­ness on lat­est in­no­va­tive and most ef­fi­cient avail­able prod­ucts and tech­nolo­gies. It also en­cour­ages busi­ness tieups be­tween the lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional con­struc­tion in­dus­tries, and pro­motes Green and Sus­tain­able con­struc­tion.

Over the past years, the expo has been con­sis­tent in pro­vid­ing plat­forms for the dis­play of lat­est and most ef­fi­cient con­struc­tion equip­ments. Through the con­struc­tion expo, the con­trac­tors are ex­pected to avail them­selves of the ideas to make their job eas­ier and more pro­duc­tive in the con­struc­tion sites.

Com­pa­nies from In­dia and Bhutan are ex­hibit­ing a wide range of lat­est heavy ma­chiner­ies such as ex­ca­va­tors, min­ing equip­ment as­phalt paver fin­ish­ers, gen­er­a­tor sets, earth mov­ing ma­chin­ery, cranes, tools and ma­chin­ery, real es­tate, road equip­ments, power gen­er­a­tion ma­chin­ery and wa­ter equip­ments.

It also show­cases con­struc­tion chem­i­cals, toi­let ac­ces­sories, con­crete prod­ucts, plumb­ing ma­te­ri­als, bath­room safety equip­ments, doors and win­dows, grill and gates, wa­ter tanks, light and fit­tings, roof­ing and fa­cades, paints and coat, pumps and pipes, so­lar en­ergy prod­ucts, ply­wood and timbers, tex­tiles, fur­ni­ture, dishes, agri­cul­tural ma­chin­ery, gar­den­ing and land­scape equip­ment.

The cur­rent Bhutan Con­struc­tion Expo, which is eight in the se­ries, is said to be big­ger and bet­ter com­pared to the pre­vi­ous years. Ac­cord­ing to the of­fi­cial from BCCI, past seven an­nual ex­pos has cre­ated plat­form for dis­play and ex­hi­bi­tion of the con­struc­tion equip­ment and ma­chin­ery which has boosted the con­struc­tion in­dus­try in the coun­try.

The event was en­cour­aged by the suc­cess of pre­ced­ing ex­pos and saw wider and bet­ter qual­i­ta­tive con­struc­tion prod­ucts on dis­play.

More than 88 com­pa­nies from out­side and in­side the coun­try are par­tic­i­pat­ing at the Expo to show­case their prod­ucts and con­struc­tion tech­nol­ogy. The com­pa­nies in­clude JCB, STCBL TaTa, Ko­belco, AT­LAS COPCO, APPOLO, hind­ware and Ajax Fiori par­tic­i­pated in the con­struc­tion expo among oth­ers.

Over the three-days, thou­sands vis­ited that in­cludes gov­ern­ment and pri­vate con­trac­tors, builders, ar­chi­tects and engi­neers, de­sign con­sul­tants, real es­tate de­vel­op­ers and project own­ers, in­dus­tri­al­ists, busi­ness peo­ple and con­struc­tion in­dus­try pro­fes­sional among oth­ers.
