His Majesty The King granted dhar to four new dzongkhag drang­pons on 12th Oc­to­ber. Gele­phu Dungkhag Drang­pon Karma Dorji is ap­pointed as the drang­pon of Tsir­ang Dzongkhag. Drang­pon Ram­jam Pema Cho­den of Thim­phu Pub­lic No­tary Of­fice is ap­pointed as the drang­pon of Thim- phu Com­mer­cial Bench. Phuentshol­ing Dungkhag Drang­pon Pema Dechen is ap­pointed as the drang­pon of Thim­phu Civil Bench. Drang­pon Ram­jam Kezang Cho­den of Thim­phu Registry Sec- tion is ap­pointed as the drang­pon of Thim­phu Crim­i­nal Bench II.

In ac­cor­dance with Sec­tion 73 of the Ju­di­cial Ser­vice Act of Bhutan 2007, Dzongkhag Drang­pons are ap­pointed “by the Druk Gyalpo by war­rant un­der His hand and seal on the rec­om­men­da­tion of the Chief Jus­tice of Bhutan as per the nom­i­na­tion by the Royal Ju­di­cial Ser­vice Coun­cil.”
