His Majesty The King graces Takar Ku­choe

An un­prece­dented num­ber of peo­ple at­tended the con­clud­ing day of the Takar Ku­choe, gath­er­ing at the fes­ti­val to be dou­bly blessed by the pres­ence of His Majesty The King last Tues­day.

His Majesty graced the Ku­choe held annu- ally at Takar Nagt­shang in Chumey, Bumthang, and granted Tokha to the gath­er­ing who had con­gre­gated from neigh­bour­ing val­leys for the spe­cial event.

His Majesty also granted a Thong­drol of Thuk­sey Dawa Gyalt­shen to the Nagt­shang for the com­mu­nity. Thuk­sey Dawa Gyalt­shen, who is one of Ter­ton Pema Lingpa’s sons, es­tab­lished the Nagt­shang and the Takar Zhel­gno lin­eage.

The Takar Ku­choe was cel­e­brated with var­i­ous dances of the Pel­ing tradition.

Ear­lier in the morn­ing, His Majesty of­fered prayers at the Jam­bay Lhakhang.
