The govern­ment of Ja­pan will pro­vide 250mn yen to Bhutan to pur­chase 353 power tillers. The Am­bas­sador of Bhutan to Ja­pan, V Nam­gyel and the Am­bas­sador of Ja­pan to Bhutan, Kenji Hi­ra­matsu, signed the ex­change notes un­der the Ja­panese grant aid project for im­prove­ment of farm ma­chin­ery for hir­ing ser­vices in New Delhi, In­dia on Tues­day. The Am­bas­sador of Bhutan to Ja­pan said that the project will help en­hance food se­cu­rity and im­prove the liveli­hood of farm­ers in the coun­try. The project stands as yet an­other im­por­tant tes­ti­mony of the ex­cel­lent ties of friend­ship and co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the two coun­tries as Bhutan as cel­e­brated the 30th an­niver­sary of the es­tab­lish­ment of diplo­matic re­la­tions be­tween the two coun­tries said the Am­bas­sador of Bhutan to Ja­pan.
