THREE BHUTANESE TO BE TRAINED AS CHOPPER PILOTS
Three Bhutanese men will be trained as helicopter pilots for which they left for Canada on Friday.
They will be trained to fly helicopters in mountainous settings for serch and rescue operations and emergency medical services.
They are Sangay Tshogyal, 26, Ugyen Dorji, 25 and Namgay Rinchen, 24, employees of the Royal Bhutan Helicopter Services.
After six-months’ training, they will sit for a final test called Bhutan Air Law exam to secure a Bhutanese commercial pilot license.
For the last one year, they were attached with three veteran pilots from the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
