MOH CONFIRMS TYPHOID OUTBREAK
After 23 individuals were detected with the bacterial infection yesterday, the Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed that there is an outbreak of Typhoid in Changzamtok area in Thimphu.
Royal Center for Disease Control confirmed that the private water source is contaminated and unfit for drinking. However, the authority confirmed that water from the city corporation is fit for drinking. General public are asked to drink boiled water, to wash their hands with soap after and before eating and also after going to toilet. The first case of typhoid was reported on Wednesday.
