To commemorate Bank of Bhutan’s 50th anniversary and to cater to citizens aged 60 and above, BoB last week launched dedicated senior citizen priority counter. Apart from foreign exchange services, the counter will provide services like withdrawl and deposit, opening new accounts and INR remittance. When the counter is not catering to senior citizens, it would provide regular services to other clients for optimum use of human resources as well as to provide fast services to other clients. However, if any senior citizen enters to avail the service at the counter then priority will be given to the senior citizen. A standard notification will also be stuck at the counter which will specify the counter that prioritizes senior citizens and the customer in line will have to give way when a senior citizen approaches.
