TRA­DI­TIONAL MEDICINE’S GOLDEN JU­BILEE

The De­part­ment of Tra­di­tional Medicine on June 2 launched in-pa­tient ser­vices for five elim­i­na­tive ther­a­pies (Lay-Nga) to mark 50 years of tra­di­tional medicine.

The tra­di­tional medicine sys­tem which was first es­tab­lished in 1968 started dis­pens­ing at Dechen­chol­ing and now has 65 tra­di­tional medicine units along with mod­ern medicine ser­vices.

In 2016 and 2017, over 70,000 peo­ple have availed tra­di­tional medicine ser­vices.
