The Africa Report - - THE QUESTION -

Churches are big business in Africa. Behind the pastoring is criminality. They are stealing from people through the church. Nobody can blame them for that. The blame is squarely on the government. Kingsley Mkata Aphiri

I think they profit as much as they give spiritually to their congregation. Let’s not forget how much burden they carry. @nkundecat

Are they really pastors or stealing guys? Those guys are doing business over weak people who are just looking for jobs. @Pmaotela

People with problems trust God to resolve them. This is where pastors exploit people’s naivety, despair and ignorance. @eyokana

It’s not so much an African issue, it’s pastors worldwide. Africans’ consumption of Christianity is higher than other continents. @Gachenek

ABSOLUTELY! It’s only in Africa [that] churches are always taking and giving nothing back, like materially caring for the poor. @ziza2b
