What is fashion to you? Fashion to me is how you introduce yourself without saying a word; being able to express oneself.
How does your music influence your style?
My fan base is mostly adults so I usually present myself as a classy and chic woman when I perform.
Take us through the process of preparing for a video shoot or attending a red carpet event... or when you go for a tv or radio interview.
When I shoot a video, my fashion depends on the message the music carries and the feel we would want to give the video. Going for red carpet, I try to explore as much as I can, mostly the focus is to look as amazing as possible but comfortable too.
Why do you think today’s artists are into fashion and launching clothing labels?
Fashion makes the brand. The presentation of yourself, fashion-wise, makes you interesting. Dressing well draws people to follow you.
What kind of impact do you want your fashion to make in society?
I want people to feel comfortable with themselves and I want them to feel inspired by my fashion sense and the way I carry myself. Your look is your confidence.
What fashion item should we own right now?
All women should own pumps (heels).
What should we trash out? Anything to do with colour-blocking. Simple and clean is the way to go!
Your ultimate favourite style tip(s)... Pencil dress - long or short - with pumps, you can never go wrong!
Your go-to, last minute outfit... Skinny jeans, vest - mostly white, pumps and of course a nice hand bag. Don’t forget to accessorise, it completes the look.
