It’s so common that a smart traveller might even be inclined to plan for the worst while exploring, which is why AXA Insurance has partnered with travel services expert SATS to produce the mobile phone application Ready to Travel. Tailored for millennial travellers, Ready to Travel serves as a personal concierge, adapting its advice to users’ itineraries and adventures. The central feature of the app is a service that allows users to quickly and easily purchase travel insurance, including an automated flight and baggage delay claims process that allows travellers to be compensated immediately for a delayed flight or missing baggage. “[W]e are setting a new standard in the digital insurance space, delivering travel protection solutions seamlessly so millennial travellers can focus on what matters most to them – their trip experience,” said Leo Costes, AXA’s managing director of general insurance.
