Ex­pe­ri­ence reel cul­ture in Bali

From lo­cal doc­u­men­taries to ac­claimed in­ter­na­tional movies, a wide va­ri­ety of films will be screened on the trop­i­cal is­land par­adise that is Bali for the Bali­nale In­ter­na­tional Film Fes­ti­val. Or­gan­is­ers say the event will re­flect on film’s po­ten­tial to “project our visions and dreams in a pos­i­tive way, en­abling greater ex­po­sure, tol­er­ance and ac­cep­tance of coun­tries and cul­tures”. Adding to the week­long pro­gramme of screen­ings are spe­cial events in­clud­ing meet and greets, sem­i­nars and ex­hi­bi­tions. En­tries al­ready set to screen are the Academy Award-winning Moon­light and the ac­claimed Cold of Ka­lan­dar, a Turk­ish drama di­rected by Mustafa Kara.
