Bangkok’s In­ter­na­tional Fes­ti­val of Dance and Mu­sic re­turns this month for its 19th year with a range of high-class in­ter­na­tional per­form­ers. The fes­ti­val will host sev­eral per­for­mances ev­ery week for more than a month, in­clud­ing clas­sic de­lights such as fin­ger­snap­ping street gangs from West Side Story and The Tam­ing of the Shrew, per­formed by the leg­endary Stuttgart Bal­let from Ger­many. To cel­e­brate 120 years of Russo-Thai diplo­matic re­la­tions, the fes­ti­val will kick off with a per­for­mance of Katya and the Prince of Siam by Eka­ter­in­burg Bal­let, win­ner of the Golden Mask award in April, which recog­nised the group as one of Rus­sia’s finest bal­let com­pa­nies.
