BALLET AND COMBAT IN BANGKOK
Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance and Music returns this month for its 19th year with a range of high-class international performers. The festival will host several performances every week for more than a month, including classic delights such as fingersnapping street gangs from West Side Story and The Taming of the Shrew, performed by the legendary Stuttgart Ballet from Germany. To celebrate 120 years of Russo-Thai diplomatic relations, the festival will kick off with a performance of Katya and the Prince of Siam by Ekaterinburg Ballet, winner of the Golden Mask award in April, which recognised the group as one of Russia’s finest ballet companies.
