CAMBODIAN EXPORTS SHOOT THROUGH THE ROOF
Garments and footwear exported from the Kingdom saw double-digit growth in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year, reaching $4 billion, according to a new National Bank of Cambodia report. This marks an 11% increase in exports, compared to a 6.9% year-on-year growth rate last year. The report did not delineate the cause of the increase. It comes after a 4% boost in the garment
industry last year, up to $7.6 billion from $7.3 billion in 2016.
