De­spite an out­cry from hu­man rights and press free­dom groups, the state-se­crecy case against Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, ar­rested af­ter cov­er­ing a mas­sacre in Rakhine State, is mov­ing for­ward. They could get 14 years in prison if con­victed. "This is a black day for press free­dom in Myan­mar," said a rep for Amnesty In­ter­na­tional, who also called the case "po­lit­i­cally mo­ti­vated" and "far­ci­cal".
