New SE Asian MMA fight series enters fray

MIXED martial arts (MMA) organisations from Singapore and Indonesia joined forces to launch a new Southeast Asian fight series yesterday, underscoring the sport’s growing popularity. The Singapore Fighting Championship (SFC) has partnered with Indonesia’s One Pride to organise events in both countries, they said in a joint statement. MMA has grown from a niche sideshow to one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. Asia’s largest MMA promoter ONE Championship is based in Singapore.
