Cattrall vs. SJP: War of the words
Sarah Jessica Parker “could have been nicer” when she revealed plans for a third Sex And The City film were dead, according to former costar Kim Cattrall.
Fans were left disappointed last week after Parker confirmed they were no longer moving forward with a new sequel in the hit TV and film franchise, suggesting Cattrall’s “diva” demands derailed the production plans.
Cattrall took to Twitter to clear up the controversy, insisting she had long declared she was done portraying sex-obsessed public relations executive Samantha Jones following the release of 2010’s Sex and the City 2.
“The only ‘DEMAND’ I ever made was that I didn’t want to do a 3rd film .... & that was back in 2016,” she wrote.
In an interview with Piers Morgan on U.K.’s Life Stories, the Canadian sex symbol said, “It’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva. I don’t know what [SJP’s] issue is, I never have.”
