The Backbone

4WDrive - - Review -

Here’s a slick little innovation - The Backbone. The folks at Body Armor say it’s a 4-in-one accessory - Skid Plate, Wheel Chock, Recovery Point and Non-Skid Step. It just slips into your 2” receiver hitch to become a step to get to your roof-top overland essentials, you can hang a tow strap from it to create a recovery point (assuming you don’t already have a tow hook), and it acts as a skid plate to protect your bumper and other low hanging fruit. Pull it out, stick it under a wheel and you have a wheel chock - so you can put that trailside log back where it belongs - in the campfire.

It’s built from heavy-duty 1/4” steel plate, treated with a durable e-coat finish and naturally requires no tools to install it.
