Third impressions

Advertiser (Grand Falls) - - Valentine’s Day -

The first time me and my now fiancé had a chat we had everything in common, from the type of dog we both wanted to our favorite music (country).

He later asked me to “hang out” and took me to Tim Hortons, where he talked about how awesome he was. I went months without speaking to him after that.

Months later we ran into each other on George Street and began hanging out more often.

I knew he was the one on a specific night. My friends and I were at Thirsty Thursdays downtown, ready to go home, when I texted him and asked what he was doing. He said he was out driving around. I asked him to come drive us home and he did. He drove my friend Courtney home first then drove me back home (Courtney lived in the same town as him, 20 minutes away). He did so just to spend time with me alone, and that’s when I first kissed him.

I have since learned that he was home in bed that night and drove well out of his way to come get me and my friends, and he was a complete gentleman.

Love looks a little different today as we now have a threeyear-old. Just yesterday I came home to a completely clean house! His selflessness is why I love him so much every day.
