The Ed­mon­ton Hor­ti­cul­ture So­ci­ety runs a speaker’s se­ries through­out the year. The talks are all held at the Cen­tral Lions Se­niors Re­cre­ation Cen­tre, 11113 – 113 Street, Ed­mon­ton, where park­ing is free.

June 25, Jim Hole: Cannabis – new rules and gar­den­ing tech­niques

Au­gust 27, Adele Good­win: Re­mem­ber the bones of your gar­den

Septem­ber 24, Dustin Ba­jer: Food Forests

Novem­ber 26, Lee Foote: The Aga Khan Gar­den at the Univer­sity of Al­berta Botanic Gar­den

Come early at 6:45 pm to browse dis­plays. The speak­ers be­gin at 7:30 pm. Ad­mis­sion for mem­bers is free. Mem­bers are en­cour­aged to bring a friend for the nom­i­nal fee of $10.

Gar­den tour: Re­mem­ber to mark your July cal­en­dars for the an­nual gar­den tour, a high­light of the year or all mem­bers. Gar­dens change ev­ery year so even if there is one or two on the list that you have seen be­fore, it is worth vis­it­ing them again to see how they have evolved.
