Alberta Oil - - OIL SANDS REPORT -

Expanding the Trans Mountain pipeline and its associated Westridge Marine Terminal facility in Burnaby could require the company to dredge the seafloor near the terminal docks in the Burrard Inlet. Should that be the case, the company is required to provide the NEB with a pre-construction Marine Sediment Management Plan outlining the results of undersea sediment plume modeling studies, the company’s efforts to limit the dredge footprint, the details of an environmental monitoring plan during dredging and a plan for sediment disposal that complies with the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.
