Spurr, Phyl­lis Al­berta - 90, of Melvern Square passed on to be with her Saviour, May 21, 2017. Born Fe­bru­ary 13, 1927 in West Clarence, An­napo­lis Co, she was the daugh­ter of the late Arthur and Fern (Bezan­son) Bent. Fol­low­ing high school grad­u­a­tion from Bridgetown High School, she taught school for 4 ½ years. Phyl­lis loved and served in her church, Fel­low­ship Bap­tist Church, for nearly 70 years, teach­ing Sun­day School, help­ing with com­mu­nion, and act­ing as pres­i­dent of the Woman’s Mis­sion­ary So­ci­ety. She loved her com­mu­nity, tak­ing meals to those in need, col­lect­ing for the

son. Cre­ma­tion has taken place. Visi­ta­tion was held from 7-9 pm on Satur­day, May 20, 2017 in the Mid­dle­ton Fu­neral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448, from where a Me­mo­rial Ser­vice took place at 2 pm, Sun­day, May 21, 2017 with Rev. Danny Smith of­fi­ci­at­ing. A re­cep­tion for fam­ily and friends fol­lowed the ser­vice. Pri­vate fam­ily in­ter­ment was in North Kingston Ceme­tery.
