Spurr, Phyllis Alberta - 90, of Melvern Square passed on to be with her Saviour, May 21, 2017. Born February 13, 1927 in West Clarence, Annapolis Co, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Fern (Bezanson) Bent. Following high school graduation from Bridgetown High School, she taught school for 4 ½ years. Phyllis loved and served in her church, Fellowship Baptist Church, for nearly 70 years, teaching Sunday School, helping with communion, and acting as president of the Woman’s Missionary Society. She loved her community, taking meals to those in need, collecting for the
son. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 7-9 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448, from where a Memorial Service took place at 2 pm, Sunday, May 21, 2017 with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. A reception for family and friends followed the service. Private family interment was in North Kingston Cemetery.
