Plenty to do at the Ber­wick li­brary

Cards con­tinue to be a time of fel­low­ship for a num­ber of peo­ple in Ber­wick.

There were five ta­bles of 45s in play at the South Ber­wick Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Feb. 20. Prizewin­ners were first, Shirley Rogers; sec­ond, Roxie Red­den; third, Sharon Kil­cup; fourth, Joan Bal­com; 50/50, Ge­orge Smith and the door prize was won by Roxie Red­den.

Some events to mark on your cal­en­dar in March in­clude:

On March 13 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Ber­wick and District Li­brary is the Be Fit Kits, and ev­ery­one is en­cour­aged to stop in and try them out. Throw, run, dance, play with para­chutes, and try yoga. This is held in the gym at 236 Com­mer­cial St. in Ber­wick. All ages are wel­come. The event is hosted by An­napo­lis Val­ley Re­gional Li­brary, Ber­wick Re­cre­ation, and the De­part­ment of Com­mu­nity Cul­ture & Her­itage. March 14 is Whim­si­cal Wed­nes­day at the Ber­wick Li­brary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drop by the li­brary for crafts, ac­tiv­i­ties and sto­ries. This is for ages five to 10 years.

March 17 from 12:30 un­til 2 p.m., again at the li­brary, is make your own Celtic art. This is for kids ages five to 12 years. Dress to make a mess!

Ev­ery Tues­day af­ter­noon at the Ber­wick Li­brary, from 1 to 3 p.m, is Af­ter­noon of Games for peo­ple aged 55 and older. Bring a game from home or choose from the col­lec­tion there.
