Round Hill Stu­dio of­fers

new ex­hibit

Round Hill Stu­dio’s Twila Ro­barDe­coste ex­hibit “Field and For­est” runs from Nov. 2 to 30 with a re­cep­tion Fri­day, Nov. 2 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Ro­bar-De­coste is a renowned, pub­lished il­lus­tra­tor and botan­i­cal artist. Her ex­hibit will be com­prised of paint­ings in both wa­ter­colour and acrylic and in­clude many na­tive and in­tro­duced spices of plants, an­i­mals, and birds of Nova Sco­tia.

Amy Rus­sell checks out a colour­ful pil­low at the Ten Thou­sand Vil­lages craft sale Oct. 27 at the Kentville fire hall. The sale is hosted an­nu­ally by the Friends of Ten Thou­sand Vil­lages-An­napo­lis Val­ley/Kentville, and fea­tures hand­crafted home and gift items – ev­ery­thing from mu­si­cal in­stru­ments, pot­tery and jew­elry to bas­kets, toys and hand-loomed tex­tiles. The items are made by ar­ti­sans from 30 de­vel­op­ing coun­tries. “Ev­ery­thing is so pretty – I re­ally can’t de­cide what I’m go­ing to buy. Prob­a­bly a few things,” said Rus­sell.
